1. Download Ubuntu Server iso Ubuntu Server 12.04.2 LTS

2. Create new Instance on VMWARE Fusion

Pick the downloaded ISO as the installation media
Assign 2 Cores and 4Gb to machine

After the installation finishes; install Apache, MySql and PHP

3. Installing Apache

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apache2

4. Install MySql

sudo apt-get install mysql-server libapache2-mod-auth-mysql php5-mysql</blockquote>
 sudo mysql_install_db 
 sudo /usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation

5. Install PHP

sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5 php5-mcrypt

Check if php is added to directory index. (Index.php in the beginning of the file)

sudo nano /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf

6. Check PHP Installation
To set this up, first create a new file:

sudo nano /var/www/info.php

Add in the following line:

7. Restart apache so that all of the changes take effect:

sudo service apache2 restart

8. To check the instance IP address;

ip route
